My air fryer boneless pork chops feature a super crispy Parmesan cheese crust! Made with simple pantry ingredients and ready in just 15 minutes, these are perfect for busy weeknights.
A Tender Air Fryer Pork Chop Recipe
This air fryer boneless pork chops recipe came about when my husband wanted that tender, juicy pork chop, but we had no breadcrumbs in the house.
I looked in the fridge and saw some leftover Parmesan cheese from an eggplant parm recipe and just knew this would be a hit with both my husband and the kids. And, it was!
I paired them with some air fryer asparagus and garlic bread for a full dinner!
In case you’re wondering if an air fryer really does make a tender pork chop, just look at my air fryer fried pork chops, air fryer shake and bake pork chops, breaded pork chops, and stuffed pork chops to know I make them all the time because of how good they are!

Variations and Substitutions for Air Fryer Boneless Pork Chops
- Instead of the paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder, use a mixture of fresh or dried herbs like thyme, rosemary, and oregano. Add some Dijon mustard to the oil before brushing it on the chops for a mustard and herby variation.
- Add some cayenne pepper or red crushed pepper flakes to the parm and seasoning mixture for an extra spicy kick. Serve with a side of spicy marinara!
- Replace the seasonings with ground ginger, soy sauce, and a bit of sesame oil for an Asian-inspired flair. Garnish with some chopped scallions and toasted sesame seeds for even more color and texture.
- Grate some lemon zest and add it to the seasoning mixture along with some extra fresh herbs like thyme and parsley. Squeeze some lemon juice on top before popping it all in the air fryer for extra citrus flavor.
Tips For the Best Pork Chops
- Coat them very well with olive oil so the Parmesan mixture has a good surface to stick to.
- Always lay the pork chops them in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they’re not touching for a crispy Parmesan crust. Stacking the pork chops can cause uneven cooking and a less crispy crusting.
- Flip the chops halfway through the cook time to ensure they cook evenly.
- Use fresh raw pork chops for the best flavor, but cook frozen pork chops in a preheated air fryer at 380 degrees F for 12 to 18 minutes when in a pinch.
- Use an alarm thermometer to be notified as soon as your pork hits 145 degrees for super tender pork.
What Temperature Should I Cook Boneless Pork Chops To?
Pork must be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F. I recommend using an meat thermometer to give you the most accurate reading so you don’t over-or under-cook your chops.
How Long Do I Cook Boneless Pork Chops in the Air Fryer?
The cooking time depends on how thick or thin your pork loin chops are. I find that 9 to 10 minutes usually works well for me, but you may need to add or subtract a few minutes based on the thickness of the cut.
What to Serve with Pork Chops
These boneless pork chops are a great protein that serves well with just about any vegetable or starch. My favorites are a medley of vegetables in the air fryer, smashed potatoes, roasted carrots, sweet potatoes, or even just a little garlic bread and salad on the side.
Can I Make This with Bone-In Pork Chops Instead?
You bet! Just keep in mind that bone-in pork chops will cook faster than boneless chops. This is where an Instant Read Thermometer comes in handy so you can cook them until they just reach 145 degrees F.

Why Are My Air Fryer Pork Chops Tough?
Tough pork chops mean they were overcooked. Remember that the chops are going to continue to cook for a few minutes after you remove them from the air fryer, so you want to take them out as soon as they reach 145 degrees F, which is why I recommend an alarm thermometer.
How Do I Keep Boneless Pork Chops from Drying Out?
The air fryer works wonders for keeping pork chops nice and juicy! While methods like oven-roasting or grilling can cause pork chops to dry out, the air fryer yields much better results. Just make sure not to overcook them, as this will always dry out pork no matter what method you use!
Can I Use Only Grated Parmesan and Not Shredded?
Yes! I’ve made this recipe using all grated Parmesan and not shredded and it still tastes delicious! You can also add some cheddar cheese in there for a different flavor.
How to Reheat Boneless Pork Chops in the Air Fryer
- Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F.
- Once preheated, lay the leftover pork chops in the basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until warmed through.

Love these ! I found no need to flip the boneless chops with your best ever recommended meat thermometer . Never overcooks. Bottom still browns you don’t loose the topping. the onion powder is an excellent addition. Thank you ! .
Can you do this recipe for pork chops with the bone?
Hi Greg, yes you can! I find they cook a little faster with the bone, so I recommend using the same ingredients, but the time and temperature used in my air fryer bone in pork chops recipe here: https://www.everydayfamilycooking.com/air-fryer-pork-chops-bone-in-breaded/
I’d given up on pork chops, they are always so dry and tough, but my husband found this recipe so I gave it a try. He went on and on about how good they were. He told me that they were the best pork chops he had ever eaten.
Can grated Parmesan be used?
Yes! I’ve used both. I do love the texture of the shredded Parmesan though.
Would be nice you would mention what a serving size is as stupid people just don’t know
So if you are doing the frozen chops do you still coat them like the others?
I do! The oil helps the parmesan and seasonings stick to the pork chop and you get a nice and crispy outer layer since they cook a bit longer.
My husband and I completely enjoyed these Pork Chops. They were juicy and delicious. They were so easy I was almost embarrassed by his compliments to the “chef”.
Hi Jo, It’s okay, enjoy the compliments! So happy to hear they turned out so well.
These were fantastic! I just bought my air fryer a week ago and you’ve been my go to resource all week long! I knew I had pork chops in the freezer, but turned out to have the bones. I did them from frozen and they turned out perfect! So fast. 5 star from both of us! Thank you!
Hi Jennifer, Welcome to the world of air fryer cooking! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the pork chops.
