How To Make Ninja Foodi Beef Stew
A full printable version of this recipe with ingredient measurements is available at the bottom of this post.
STEP ONE: Place the beef stew meat into a large mixing bowl and sprinkle with salt, pepper, celery seeds, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix to evenly coat all of the pieces.
Next, set your Ninja Foodi to Sear/Sauté and allow it to warm up for 2 minutes.
STEP TWO: Pour in the olive oil, then add the beef. Sear it for 3 minutes, making sure to stir so that all sides are browned.
Pour the beef broth and soy sauce into the Ninja Foodi and mix well, using the liquid to scrape the bottom.
STEP THREE: Add your onions, carrots, and potatoes into the pot and mix until they are coated in the beef broth. Turn the Sear/Sauté setting off, and adjust the settings to Pressure Cook.
STEP FOUR: Cook on High pressure for 8 minutes with the valve closed. After the timer goes off, do a quick release. Pour your Ninja Foodi beef stew into serving bowls and enjoy!
Feel free to serve it on its own, or with a side salad and bread. You can also garnish with grated cheese and fresh herbs.
How Long Does Ninja Foodi Beef Stew Last In The Fridge?
After making beef stew in the Ninja Foodi, store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. They will keep for 4-5 days.
You can reheat individual portions in the microwave for a few minutes until warmed through. Or, reheat in a saucepan on the stovetop over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
Can I Freeze Ninja Foodi Beef Stew?
Absolutely! Beef stew from the Ninja Foodi freezes wonderfully. Simply follow the cooking instructions as indicated and allow the stew to cool completely.
Place it in an airtight, freezer-safe container, then store it in the freezer. It will keep for 2-3 months.
Let it thaw in the fridge overnight and follow the reheating instructions above, or simply reheat from frozen. Keep in mind that reheating from frozen will take a bit longer.
Can You Cook Beef in a Ninja Foodi?
You sure can! I like to brown mine before adding the beef broth and the rest of the ingredients. You can do so by setting your pressure cooker to the Sear/Sauté setting.
Allow it to heat up, then add a bit of oil to brown. It will cook through the rest of the way when you pressure cook it for 8 minutes.
I also cook beef in my Ninja Foodi Pot Roast and Ninja Foodi Meatloaf recipes too!
What Kind Of Meat Is Used For Beef Stew?
I usually use chuck beef for beef stew. Some supermarkets will label this type of meat as “stew meat.” Either works really well!
Make things even easier by opting for pre-cut varieties that are available in nearly every grocery store.
