My no-splatter oven baked turkey bacon turns out perfectly crispy with way less mess. I make it easily for breakfast in the morning for my kids!
My Easy Turkey Bacon in the Oven Recipe
My 5 year old son Connor is bacon obsessed. I honestly wish I was obsessed with bacon like him because he can eat it by the handful every morning. But for me, it can be a bit fatty to have every morning, so I like to make my oven baked turkey bacon instead.
I created this method to get that perfect crispiness without the grease splatter of the pan frying — and I’ve even baked it alongside pork bacon at the same time!
This way I can just set the timer and move on to other things breakfast while not worrying about a mess or it overcooking.

Ingredients for Baked Turkey Bacon
- Turkey bacon — I like Butterball’s regular sliced uncured turkey bacon best, but I’ve used other brands with success too.
How to Cook Turkey Bacon in the Oven
STEP ONE: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
STEP TWO: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the turkey bacon slices on the parchment paper.
STEP THREE: Bake the turkey bacon in the oven for 8 minutes, then flip the bacon slices.
STEP FOUR: Bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until the slices reach the desired crispness. I like them crispy with a little bit of give to the turkey bacon still.
STEP SIX: Serve and enjoy.
Tips for The Best Turkey Bacon in the Oven
- Pat the turkey bacon dry with paper towels before baking. I find this helps remove the extra moisture for maximum crispiness.
- Use parchment paper or aluminum foil to line the baking sheet for easy cleanup. I always do this so I have less dishes to clean!
- Lay the turkey bacon in a single layer to ensure the slices cook evenly.
- For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of black pepper or brown sugar before baking.
- Flip the turkey bacon while cooking. I’ve made this without flipping the bacon and both sides don’t get evenly crispy without doing it.
- Serve immediately for the best texture, or incorporate baked turkey bacon into other recipes. I love making sandwiches and wraps with it or crushing it on top of salad.
- Leftover turkey bacon can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or in the freezer for several months.
What to Serve with Baked Turkey Bacon
For weekend breakfasts where I have a little more time to cook, I love serving this alongside my crispy hash browns, air fryer sausage, and cinnamon roll casserole.
I also love to chop up my leftovers to go in bacon ranch pasta salad, chicken bacon wraps, or broccoli salad for a delicious boost of protein.
