How to Make Air Fryer Biscuits
A full printable version of this recipe with ingredient measurements is available at the bottom of this post.
STEP ONE: Place parchment paper or a liner in your air fryer basket.
STEP TWO: Add the biscuits to the basket, leaving space between each one so the air circulates around them.
STEP THREE: Cook the biscuits at 320 degrees F for 8 minutes, flip, and cook for 7-8 more minutes.
STEP FOUR: Serve with your favorite spreads or toppings.
Tips for Cooking Frozen Biscuits in the Air Fryer
- When you place your biscuits in the air fryer, be sure to leave space between each one so the air can properly circulate. My air fryer basket can fit about 6 biscuits at a time without overcrowding.
- Use a silicone liner or parchment paper round so the air fryer biscuits don’t stick to the basket. The biscuits are still raw and can stick to the holes of the basket when they start to thaw while cooking. Read more information on parchment paper in the air fryer.
- Keep in mind that the outside of the biscuit will be brown before the inside is done. Don’t make the mistake of taking them out too early.
- Flipping the biscuits at the halfway point ensures they cook evenly and get a wonderful, golden crust on all sides.
How Long to Cook Frozen Biscuits in the Air Fryer
For Grands frozen biscuits, I’ve found that 15 minutes is just about the perfect cook time. But make sure you flip them halfway through so they cook nice and evenly. 8 minutes on one side and then 7-8 on the other should do the trick!
How to Reheat Biscuits in the Air Fryer
The air fryer is great for warming up biscuits! This goes for leftover frozen biscuits that were cooked in the air fryer as well as biscuits from a restaurant or store. After all, you should never let a KFC or Popeye’s biscuit go to waste!
- Place the leftover biscuit in the basket of the air fryer.
- Cook at 320 degrees F for 2-3 minutes until warmed through.
What to Serve with Air Fryer Biscuits
- Air Fryer Whole Chicken
- Air Fryer Country Style Ribs
- Air Fryer Roast Beef
- Air Fryer Pork Loin
- Air Fryer Meatloaf
- Air Fryer Steak
- Air Fryer Cornish Hen
Can I Cook Canned Biscuits in the Air Fryer Instead?
Absolutely! Just keep in mind that unless you have a wide air fryer oven, you will need to cook them in multiple batches. Flipping them is very important to ensure they cook evenly, so I don’t recommend cooking canned biscuits multi-layer style.
I love to use the Pillsbury canned biscuits (not Grands) because the entire can fits in my 5.8QT Cosori all at one time.
Here’s how to make refrigerated Pillsbury canned biscuits in the air fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F.
- Place a piece of parchment paper in the air fryer, then place the biscuits on top of it.
- Cook for about 7 minutes total, flipping after 5 minutes.
Can I Make Biscuits From Scratch in the Air Fryer?
You bet! The air fryer is a great alternative to using the oven, which means you can free it up to cook other dishes if necessary or avoid turning it on altogether.
Once you’ve shaped your dough into biscuits and are ready to cook, the process is very similar to making air fryer frozen biscuits.
- Place parchment paper or a liner in your air fryer basket.
- Add the raw biscuits to the basket, leaving space between each one so the air circulates around them.
- Cook the biscuits at 400 degrees F for 8-10 minutes until the tops are golden.
- Serve with your favorite spreads or toppings.
