Are Pork Loin and Pork Tenderloin the SAme?
No, pork loin and pork tenderloin come from different parts of the animal, making them two very different cuts of meat.
Pork loin is a wide and fat cut from the back of the animal and is a bit cheaper in price.
Pork tenderloin is lean and tender. It comes from a muscle that runs along the backbone, and it can be a pricier cut of meat. If you have pork tenderloin, try this air fryer pork tenderloin recipe.

It was super tasty. Italian seasoning really uplifted the whole meal. I will make this again, for sure.
Samatha, I tried your pork loin recipie and the final results were very good. I made a few mistakes but learned a lot. Mistakes, I used a smaller air fryer that you have, my pork loin touched 2 sides of the basket. I forgot to cover it with foil and let it rest. The results were that it was very crispy and the inside was perfect, juicy and tender also very tasty. Also I believe had I followed the instructions the tin foil would have made the outside more moist. The bottom line is we ate it all and enjoyed it, Thank you
Hi Joe, so glad you enjoyed it! I am not sure where you are mentioning the foil as I don’t recommend it when cooking for this recipe.
Sounds very good. However, I am new to airfryers and when I find a recipe I like it rarely states which setting to use. Do I assume it is “airfry” or roast or ???? There are so many different kinds of airfryers out there it can be a challenge.
Thank you, Darlene
Hi Darlene, that’s a great question! Any time you see an air fryer recipe, it should use the “air fry” function unless it states differently in the directions. Since not all air fryers have multi-functions like this, all of my air fryer recipes will always use the air fry setting. I hope this helps!
Can I used a frozen marinated pork loin in the airfryer?
Yes! Just toss it right in using the frozen directions! Since it’s already marinated, you don’t have to add anything onto it and can cook it as is.
Hi just got mine out of AF, internal temp between 145/154 but still pink in middle. Let it sit about 6/7 minutes before cutting, ends look and taste good but middle doesn’t look or taste great, what did I do wrong? Looks a little unappetizing but afraid if I cook it more it will be dry and overcooked!
Hi Marie, as long as the middle where it is pink is showing the temperature of 145 degrees, it is safe to eat even if still a little pink. When you say it doesn’t taste great, it makes me think the pork loin may have been bad or not fully cooked right in the middle.
Thanks for the recipe. I cut my pork loins up for several meals as there are just two of us. I will never roast or cut up a loin for “pork chops” again! Your recipe was delicious and stayed moist. My husband really liked it.
I followed this recipe exactly. My whole family loved it! I used a meat thermometer and made sure to let it rest covered with foil. Excellent, easy, and affordable! No more boneless chops for us. This is a great recipe.
Thank you!
Thanks for this recipe Samantha! So easy, so delicious. I made it exactly as noted and it turned out perfect. First time I’ve come across your site; I’ll definitely check out more air fryer recipes. Thanks again!
