Whether you already own a small air fryer and want to move up to a larger capacity model or are in the market for a big air fryer right off the bat, this article will help you make a good decision.

Many factors can affect your choices, such as available counter and storage space, cost of the appliance, desired capacity, and special cooking features.

For example, do you want an air fryer that also dehydrates, or perhaps one that comes with a rotisserie? Do you need one that folds up out of the way? — Yep, that’s a real thing!

Knowing what a few of the best large-capacity air fryers have to offer will help you end up with the perfect appliance for the way you like to cook.

What size air fryer you choose makes a difference. Large air fryers (5.8 quarts and over) come with varying capacities. A spacious basket style may work well for an average family. The best air fryer for a large family may be bigger with multiple racks for cooking even more food at once.

Just like small air fryers, large air fryers circulate highly concentrated hot air all around your food to cook it. Power levels (aka wattages) differ as well as the actual shape of the appliance and the way food is put inside.

If you own a small air fryer, you may have already had the experience of needing to cook food in multiple batches to have enough ready to feed everyone. Doing it this way defeats the purpose of getting a meal on the table fast. You might as well just turn on the big oven!

A large air fryer can help you cook more food all at once and save you time, calories, and energy. How about we check out a few?

Looking for a small air fryer instead? Here are the best ones to choose from! You can also get a full look at all the air fryer sizes and which is best for you here.

Features Available When Choosing a Large Air Fryer

While most air fryers don’t include the same features, it’s important to think about what features you do want in your air fryer.

Here are some features bigger air fryers can include:

  • Rotisserie option
  • Multi-cooker with pressure cooking
  • Dehydrate option
  • Auto-shutoff
  • Wi-Fi options
  • Basket Tumbler

The Best Large Air Fryers

Please note that all prices are subject to change, go on sale, or increase at any time without warning.

A quick look (see below for a more detailed look at each):

Cosori Dual blaze air fryer

This is a highly popular air fryer model and yes, I love mine! The 1750 watts of power and generous 6.8-quart capacity make it perfect for family cooking.

With 14 pre-set options, including frozen, it’s super user-friendly and has an amazing customer service warranty. Got to love that preheat setting too.

You can count on even and thorough cooking every time. This 11.7 x15. x 13.8 inches, the lightweight model won’t take up too much space in your kitchen. You can’t go wrong with this top-rated air fryer.

It’s also one of the best for affordability in price too!

NuWave Brio 15.5 Quart Large Capacity Air Fryer

If you’re looking for a big air fryer that comes with lots of features, take a look at the NuWave Brio 15.5 Quart. This mack daddy air fryer boasts 100 pre-programmed presets, a NuWave Cooking Club app, and 1800 watts of power.

You’ll get 3 racks, a drip tray, an integrated temperature probe, a non-stick grill plate, and a rotisserie kit. The owner’s manual contains plenty of recipes to get you started too.

When you use the integrated temperature probe, there’s no guessing. Just insert the probe, set your preference, and go. Plus, the BRIO will automatically shut off when your food is finished cooking.

The Brio, measuring 13 x 15.4 x 16.9 doesn’t take up as much room as you might expect.

It’s also priced at a low price for how big this air fryer is too!

Instant Vortex Plus 7-in-one air fryer oven

This 10-Quart capacity, 1500 watt air fryer, is made by the same company that gives us the iconic Instant Pot. You can watch your food cook and crisp through its window as the unique tumbler basket keeps food items moving around for the entire set time.

With built-in programs for baking, roasting, toasting, broiling, dehydrating, and rotisserie, you can do a lot with this large air fryer. The two racks give you lots of room for family meal choices.

Accessories, such as the drip pan, cooking trays, rotisserie basket, and rotisserie spit are dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.

The size, 13.23 x 13.23 x 14.37 inches and 18.65 pounds, means you’ll need some space for it, but it’s not enormous. This one is also a great-priced air fryer too!

Also, did you know the Instant Pot offers an Air Fryer Lid for those with less counter space? It’s smaller than the ones listed here, but still a great option!

Ninja Foodi

I wanted to feature this 1800 watt, countertop convection oven because it’s seen on TV a lot and is a best seller on Amazon. All air fryers are countertop convection ovens, so don’t let the name confuse you.

This Ninja is fairly large, (19.72 x 7.56 x 15.72) but it flips up out of the way and saves counter space.

You can cook quite a lot of food in this big air fryer, even a whole 13-inch pizza, not to mention 9 slices of toast or 6 chicken breasts. With a 60-second preheat, you’ll be able to cook a full meal in as little as 20 minutes. That’s 60% faster than a conventional oven!

So this appliance will air fry, air roast, air broil, bake, bagel, toast, dehydrate, and keep warm.

I have a friend who is in love with her Ninja Foodi. It’s a great brand, which is why there are two options on this page!

Crownful 19-Quart Air Fryer

This Crownful model is a very large air fryer for a bigger family. Its 1,550 watts and extra generous, 19-quart capacity allow for quick cooking an entire meal for the whole crew.

Like other air fryers, you get the healthy benefits of eating food cooked crispy using only the smallest amount of oil. With this model, you get to watch your food through the glass window while it cooks.

Its 8 accessories include a rotisserie shaft, fry basket, roasting basket, drip tray, skewer rack, and more along with a recipe booklet.

If you have room for this large-capacity air fryer (15.75 x 14.96 x 13.39 inches and 25 pounds) I’m pretty certain you’ll be happy it’s part of your kitchen arsenal. You get an air fryer, toaster oven, dehydrator, and rotisserie all in one.

What Do You Need to Pay Attention to When Choosing a Larger Air Fryer?

  • How much space do I have for using and storing this appliance?
  • What is my budget?
  • What types of cooking features are important to me?
  • Is the wattage to capacity ratio favorable for fast preheating and cooking?
  • How easy will clean-up be?

Which is the Best Large Air Fryer For a Young Family?

I have to default to my favorite, the Cosori. It heats up fast and cooks anything I put in it perfectly. The price will not hurt you in the pocketbook either.

I have two kids, ages 5 and 2, and it’s the perfect-sized air fryer for our family right now.

Which is the Largest Air Fryer on the Market?

Probably the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro. It’s top-rated, but I didn’t highlight it in this article because of the price.

Unless it’s on sale, it can cost around $400! If you have the budget and space (size-17.5 x 21.5 x 12.7 and 38.9 lbs.) it’s an excellent choice and worth investigating.

You can even cook a 14-pound turkey in it!

Summing it Up!

Air fryer recommendations are not one-size-fits-all. A family with two tiny children will probably need a different large air fryer than a family with three or four athletic teenagers.

Evaluate your space, your option preferences, and your budget. Don’t pay for fancy features you’ll never use.

The large air fryers highlighted in this article are only a jumping-off place for you to get an idea of some of the different types of air fryers available. We want you to make an informed decision, so you’ll enjoy your new purchase and make lots of wonderful food with it!

    • Hi Pearl, each one can have a different max temperature, but they should be listed on the Amazon pages when you click to look at more information. Each reaches at last 400 degrees, which is all you need.
