Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients
- ¼ cup salted butter
- 2 ½ cups mini marshmallows
- ¾ cup peanut butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 4 cups rice krispie cereal
- ¼ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter completely over medium heat. Once the butter is finished melting, add the marshmallows and mix continuously until all of the marshmallows have melted.
- Whisk in the peanut butter and salt until the peanut butter is homogenous with the melted marshmallows.
- Add the cereal to the pot and use a large wooden spoon or silicone spatula to fold the ingredients together until the cereal is evenly coated in the marshmallow mixture.
- Coat a 9×13 inch glass pan in butter or nonstick cooking spray. Spread the cereal mixture into the pan evenly and set aside.
- Melt the chocolate for about 1 minute, or until smooth. Transfer the chocolate to a Ziploc bag, cut off one of the corners, and drizzle the chocolate over the cereal mixture.
- Place the rice krispie treats in the fridge to cool for 1 hour before slicing.
- Serve and enjoy!
