Can I Use Boneless Pork Chops Instead?

I like to use bone-in pork chops because I prefer their fuller flavor.

However, if you’d rather use boneless pork chops, you can just add a few extra minutes to the cooking time since bone-in pork chops cook faster than boneless pork chops.

Other Ideas for Stuffing Pork Chops

  • Cornbread stuffing
  • Apple stuffing
  • Spinach stuffing
  • Sausage stuffing
  • Wild rice stuffing
  • Sourdough stuffing

Tips for Making the Best Air Fryer Stuffed Pork Chops

  • Use toothpicks to secure the stuffing inside the pork chop so it doesn’t fall out in the air fryer
  • Make sure the pork chops are in a single layer in the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
  • Always let your pork chops rest before serving! If you try to slice them too soon before the meat fiber has had a chance to relax and reabsorb the juice, you risk ending up with tougher pork chops.

How Do You Tell if Stuffed Pork Chops are Done?

When cooking pork or any other kind of meat, I always recommend using an Instant-Read Meat Thermometer to check the internal temperature. Pork chops are considered safe to eat once the inside has reached 145 degrees F.

The total cooking time will vary based on how thick or thin the chops are. Also, you always want to insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the chop.

How to Reheat Stuffed Pork Chops in the Air Fryer

I love using the air fryer to reheat my leftovers. They taste just as amazing as when they’re fresh! By the way, this method also works for precooked store-bought stuffed pork chops.

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees.
  2. Arrange the chops in a single layer, then spray the tops with olive oil spray.
  3. Air fry for 5 minutes at 350 degrees F until a thermometer inserted in the thickest part of the chop reads 145 degrees F.
  4. Allow them to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

How to Cook Frozen Stuffed Pork Chops in the Air Fryer

  1. Prepare the stuffing according to box directions, then set aside to cool slightly.
  2. In each pork chop, make a horizontal slice almost to the bone to create a pocket.
  3. Spoon the stuffing mixture into each chop, securing with toothpicks if necessary. Season chops with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Wrap in plastic wrap, place in a plastic zipper bag, and freeze.
  5. When ready to cook, preheat the air fryer to 330 degrees F for 5 minutes. Spray the inside basket with olive oil spray.
  6. Arrange the chops in a single layer, then spray the tops with olive oil spray.
  7. Air fry for 20 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 5-8 minutes until a thermometer inserted in the thickest part of the chop reads 145 degrees F.
  8. Allow the chops to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

    • Hi Alex, yes, you can wrap them in foil, but I’ve found that wrapping them takes longer to cook, so just check them with a meat thermometer before you pull them out!

    • Hi George, yes, you can use the same directions! Just keep an eye on the pork chops in the last few minutes using an Instant-Read Thermometer as to not overcook.

  2. Here in the UK, I haven’t seen pre-prepped stuffed chops in stores, but this method looks very simple and appealing. Can’t wait to try it; I prefer cooking in my air fryer for meat dishes. Thinks: I guess you could do something similar by stuffing a large chicken breast.

  3. Thank you for a great recipe. I bought pre made stuffed pork chops, but followed your times and it turned out perfect. I would say 18 minutes would have been just fine, I did 19, but either way it was the right amount of time.

  4. Wow, I have just cooked these for Sunday tea, they were lovely, I had to cook them for 5 mins longer (maybe my chops were thicker) but they were so lovely! Thank you, I’ll definitely be doing these again!
