EVERYDAY FAMILY COOKING

– Dried noodles  – Butter – Flour – Chicken stock – Cream cheese – Garlic powder – Paprika – Kosher salt – Cheddar cheese

Boil a pot of salted water. Cook the noodles to al dente according to the package directions.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the flour and whisk. Cook the roux, stirring for 1 minute.

Add the chicken stock, whisking constantly. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until it has thickened.

Add the cream cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt and stir. Add the cheddar cheese stirring to melt the cheese.

Remove the pan from the heat and add the noodles. Stir to combine. Season with additional salt if needed.
