Rinse the artichokes, then trim the stems and remove the tough outer leaves. Cut them in half lengthwise and remove the fuzzy choke from the inside using a spoon.
Pour the lemon juice over the cut sides. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Flip them and repeat on the leafy side.
Place them cut side down in the air fryer and fry for 12 minutes. Open the air fryer, flip the artichokes, then fry for 4 more minutes.
Serve with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.
